Financial Accountant

The Opportunity Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Financial Accountant ready to make an impact? We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our Corporate Services team at Alpine Resorts Victoria. Performing accounting activities across the organisation in accordance with approved policies and statutory requirements, you’ll be integral in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our reporting. • Process month-end procedures, journal adjustment, general ledger and payroll reconciliations, and general receipting functions
• Assist with statutory reporting and external audit processes
• Occasional travel to each or any of the ARV sites and locations may be required

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Current membership of professional accounting association (CA or CPA)
• Extensive experience in a similar accounting or finance role
• Prior experience in a government or similar sector is desirable
• Prior experience managing a small team
• Proficient in Office 365 or similar
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be an advantage

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Have full Australian working rights.
• Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
• Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
• Have an Australian Drivers licence
