What your days might look like

As a People Operations Specialist, your mission will be to streamline processes, enhance employee development, and implement impactful people programs that align with our big, hairy, audacious goal (BHAG).

In this role, you'll work closely with our People Operations Manager and Head of Performance Operations to refine and optimise our operations, ensuring seamless and efficient processes that can scale with our business.

Your creativity and innovation will shine as you help build the execution of people programs that enhance employee well-being, engagement, and performance. You'll drive initiatives that strengthen our company culture and make Employment Hero an even better place to work.

As our People Operations Specialist you will:

People Operations

  • Streamline internal processes and workflows to increase the productivity and efficiency of our Performance Operations team, and of the wider business.
  • Work with Engagement team to lift up our All Hands experience
  • Identify areas for improvement within our Performance Operations function, implementing best practices so our Heroes have the information and resources
  • Create processes that allow Heroes to self-service through building enablement tools and unleashing AI.
  • Enhancing our current onboarding process and overseeing the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, salary reviews, benefits, etc.
  • Work with Performance Ops leads to operationalise Talent Development initiatives (Our Talent, HiPO plans, etc.)
  • Keep our People Ops administration up-to-date and fit for purpose

People Programs

  • Work with the People Operations Manager to prioritise, develop, and execute key People Programs (i.e. Salary Reviews)
  • Utilise data and analytics to drive People decisions and measure effectiveness of Performance Operations initiatives
  • Collaborate with our Launch (L&D) team to design and deliver learning pathways geared toward upskilling all Heroes in critical competencies aligned to the EH Way.
  • Be a key collaborator in operationalising and managing our Engagement Survey process
  • Serving as a key resource on benefits and company policies, providing support to employees and managers.
  • Support with execution of Culture & Engagement programs (GG, social events, wellness program)
  • Assist in developing communication strategies to ensure transparency and awareness of People Programs

Reporting

  • Establishing robust reporting and analytics systems to provide decision-making data.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.

What you will bring

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Business Operations or a related role.
  • Highly disciplined and focused; sees projects through to completion.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse data and metrics to inform decision-making and improve people programs.
  • Tech-savvy, with a solid understanding of software development processes and experience working with cross-functional teams
