As a Financial Adviser with Fox & Hare Financial Advice you’ll spend your days helping to build and implement the strategies that enable Australia’s 20-45 year olds to buy property, get invested and achieve financial freedom – whatever that means to them.  

This isn't your traditional Adviser role. Here, you'll be:  

Working with accumulators only. 

You’ll be a trusted voice guiding 20-45 year old wealth accumulators through the early stages of their finance journey. Think property purchases, first investments, and laying the foundations for financial freedom. Not a retirement plan in sight. 

On call, under pressure and swimming in ambiguity.  

You will provide advice on cashflow, debt strategies, superannuation, investments and insurance as well as general tax strategies for those in the wealth accumulation phase of their lives.  

This means fast and frequent changes to your well laid plans and advice.  

You’ll help your members explore the financial options available to them, build a plan and keep them accountable. Then, they’ll have a baby and the whole thing will need to change, ASAP. Ad infinitum. 

Stepping into a dual growth and maintenance role. 

You’ll be gifted a book of just over 100 preexisting members, who you’ll need to serve and support. Your growth will not be limited, though. It is an expectation that every Fox & Hare Financial Adviser maintain a book of 150 members. This means you will (with the support of Fox & Hare’s Co-founder Glen Hare and Member Success Manager William Bull) have the opportunity to shape and grow your remaining capacity with new and exciting members.  

How you’ll grow:Master the Art of Agile Advice  

Learn to adapt financial strategies to the ever-changing landscape of midlife and young adulthood. You'll become an expert in navigating unexpected life events, from career changes and new families to side hustles and investment pivots. This is dynamic advice in action. 

Become a Specialist in Wealth Accumulation  

Gain in-depth knowledge of the unique financial challenges and opportunities faced by young Australians. You'll become fluent in strategies for first home purchases, early investing and building a strong financial foundation for the future. 

Hone Your Communication and Coaching Skills  

Develop exceptional communication skills that go beyond traditional financial jargon. You'll learn to coach members through complex decisions, motivate them to achieve their goals, and become a trusted partner in their financial journey.

Prerequisites  

• 2 or more years' experience as an Adviser 
• Completion or on track to complete FASEA 
• A strong technical background in superannuation, risk and tax 
• Have a coaching mentality and style 
• Experience in dealing with wealth accumulators is desirable 
• Financial modelling software experience as well as proficiency across MS Office 
• Strong compliance history 
• Able and willing to fund your own return to Sydney for our monthly requisite office day. Hint: be sure to work this one out before salary negotiations. 
• Australian citizen, permanent resident or working rights.  

Skills Required 

• Able to accept different types of people and the way they live their lives.  
• Natural communicator, great email manner and able to maintain a calendar.
