Position Description – Business Analyst 6mth Contract with Aus Fed Gov Dept

**Can be Based NSW ACT or QLD Must be Australian Citizen. Baseline or NV1 desirable**

Reporting to the IT Program Director, the Business Analyst will work on-site in an IT Support Team to analyse IT operations, capability, demand and risk, and subsequently develop a Request for Tender for a Managed Service Provider, including statement of requirements. The Business Analyst will utilise project experience to analyse and deliver necessary artefacts within a specified period.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing strategic analysis of demand, capability, and operations of IT
• Collaborating with leadership and teams to document findings and develop a statement of requirements for tender
• Facilitating information-gathering workshops with stakeholders
• Producing reporting artefacts
• Identifying risks and risk management proposal/s to be produced in reporting and requirements.

Essential criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in business analysis, data analytics and project management.
• Proven understanding of Enterprise Service Management capabilities.
• Proven ability to meet project deadlines, problem-solve and engage with stakeholders.
• Experience analysing core business and risk assessment
• Strong capabilities to produce reports or develop statement of requirements for tender.
• Strong understanding of enterprise-wide IT services essential to strategic and operational functions.
• Strong understanding of Essential Eight mitigation strategies.
