We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to help optimize equipment planning, inventory management, and supplier engagement for our expansive data center infrastructure.
About the Role
You will contribute to forecasting demand, prepositioning inventory strategically, managing engineering Bills of Materials, and delivering insightful analytics using modern data tools.
Collaborating closely with program managers, engineers, and suppliers, you will help ensure that the right equipment is available at the right place and time to support continuous cloud service operations. Your expertise will help evolve production planning systems and improve supply security while driving operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide accurate demand forecasts across infrastructure categories to suppliers
- Manage inventory placement and prepositioning strategies for global data centers
- Oversee engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) and production planning analytics
- Lead stakeholder meetings to monitor execution and adapt plans as needed
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives
- Conduct deep analytics to identify risks and improvement opportunities in supply chain processes
- Apply manufacturing and procurement best practices to optimize supplier engagement and inventory flow
Technical Skills Required
- Advanced SQL skills for query writing, optimization, and large dataset manipulation
- Expertise in Power BI including semantic models, DAX, and dashboard creation
- Proficiency in Python for data cleaning, transformation, and analytical tasks
- Experience in data modeling, relational databases, and building ETL pipelines
- Ability to design scalable reporting solutions for multiple business levels
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related fields
- Strong background in forecasting, inventory management, and data analytics
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and programming experience
- Experience with data center supply chains or technology infrastructure (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively across complex and ambiguous organizational environments
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting business priorities
Contract Details:
- PAYE Contract
- Remote - UK Based
- 12-18 Months
