About The Role

Lockheed Martin Communications is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Executive Administrative Assistant/Administrative Business Partner to provide high-level support to the Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. This role is pivotal in managing the executive’s schedule, correspondence, and travel arrangements, ensuring smooth daily operations. The successful candidate will act as a key member of the Communications team, proactively anticipating needs and resolving operational and administrative issues to keep projects on track. The role involves coordinating internal meetings, planning events, and assisting with external speaking engagements, requiring a high degree of discretion, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The position offers an opportunity to collaborate across various functions, utilize emerging technologies like AI, and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time remote telework position, with periodic travel to Lockheed Martin offices as needed, providing flexibility and work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and a variety of applications and tools
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Diplomatic and discreet communication with senior executives and colleagues
  • Experience in tracking actions, preparing reports, and creating presentations
  • Experience supporting senior leadership in a corporate environment
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting
  • Strong business judgment and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the Senior Vice President’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
  • Handle correspondence, emails, and phone communications on behalf of the executive
  • Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and other documents as needed
  • Coordinate internal meetings, including logistics, agendas, and follow-up actions
  • Assist with planning and execution of external speaking engagements and events
  • Resolve operational and administrative issues to ensure project continuity
  • Utilize emerging technologies and AI tools to enhance workflow and productivity
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information
  • Track action items, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners as required
