Service Delivery Project Manager – Leading NHS Data TransformationWorking Conditions:

  • This is a 2-year fixed-term contract.
  • 37.5 Hours per week
  • This is a remote opportunity

Job Purpose:

The Service Delivery Project Manager will oversee the operational delivery of key programmes within the NHS Data Transformation Programme, specifically focusing on Tech & Data Integration. You will manage the execution of deliverables within the Book of Work, ensuring all projects are delivered efficiently using tools like Jira for project tracking and Power BI for reporting. You will collaborate with senior management, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective service delivery.

The Tech & Data Integration Programme:

As part of NHS England’s Data and Analytics transformation, this programme is committed to enhancing data architecture, enabling more integrated and valuable data services across the NHS. This work is crucial to providing accurate and real-time data that supports decision-making, improves patient care, and drives the operational efficiency of the NHS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful delivery of all workstream's in the Book of Work within the Data Architecture programme.
  • Administer the Jira platform to track milestones, risks, and issues, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Utilise Power BI to create and share project insights and reports for senior management.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure governance structures are maintained and effective communication is established.
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues as required.
  • Work with programme and cross-functional teams to prioritise tasks, manage workloads, and ensure consistent service delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in service delivery management within large-scale, complex environments, preferably within the NHS or public sector.
  • Expertise in using Jira for project tracking and Power BI for data reporting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting reports to senior management.
  • Ability to manage risks and governance structures, ensuring projects meet deadlines and milestones.

Desirable Experience:

  • Background in data architecture or related governance projects.
  • Relevant qualifications in service or project management (e.g., PRINCE2, ITIL, or Agile).
