Senior Front-End Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Engineer with strong experience in React.js, JavaScript, and modern web development technologies. The candidate will join a high-performing team building advanced web applications for a global scientific equipment leader. This is a fast-paced, agile environment with opportunities to take ownership and make a direct impact on the product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Work with Redux, Node.js, and front-end tools to build scalable UI components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend developers, UX/UI designers, and QA
• Participate in daily Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks
• Follow best practices for front-end development and participate in code reviews
• Ensure high code quality through test-driven or behavior-driven development approaches
• Stay current with the latest front-end technologies and suggest improvements where applicable

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience building web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• 5+ years of recent experience with React.js framework
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and CSS
• Solid understanding of modern front-end development tools and workflows
• Experience with asynchronous service-to-service communication
• Comfortable working with onshore teams with partial time zone overlap
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
• Experience in Agile development and working with DevOps tools like GIT, Jenkins
• Highly motivated, performance-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with highly scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems
• Exposure to AWS infrastructure and application design
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or similar testing methodologies
