Job Title: Industry Segment Leader – Chemical MarketLocation: Ohio, USA (Remote, 60% Travel)Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead marketing and sales activities for ABB Instrumentation within the Chemical market. This role involves driving growth through direct and channel partner sales, developing value messaging, leveraging customer insights, and building relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will collaborate with global teams and ensure cross-division and cross-region alignment to deliver business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute market strategies to drive growth and penetration in the Chemical industry.
- Define and achieve sales targets, application goals, and portfolio mix.
- Analyze market trends, regulations, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities.
- Communicate ABB’s value proposition and strengthen visibility through events and trade fairs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and influencers.
- Lead negotiations for major contracts and frame agreements.
- Use market insights and reporting tools to track progress and identify future opportunities.
- Coach, develop, and motivate team members while fostering collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in direct customer engagement or service; 8+ years of combined sales and industry experience preferred.
- Proven expertise in the Chemical or related industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%.
- Must have U.S. work authorization.
