Role: Project Manager

Location: Remote (Central Time hours)

Duration: 12 months

Compensation: up to $50/hour

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our banking client’s team for a 12-month contract, supporting critical projects stemming from regulatory feedback. The ideal candidate will have five to eight years of experience in project management, at least 2 of which have been in a banking environment. Experience working on regulatory-driven initiatives is a plus. This role will report to the Enterprise PMO and requires adherence to an established, structured project management playbook.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medium-sized projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Utilize the company’s structured PMO methodology to develop tailored project plans that align with regulatory and business requirements.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Monitor and track project progress, maintaining clear and accurate documentation, including status updates, project plans, and risk assessments.
• Analyze and manage project risks, preempting potential issues and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports, including progress updates and metrics tracking, using Excel for data analysis.
• Communicate project milestones, risks, and status updates clearly to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Proactively follow escalation and change control processes to address any deviations from the project plan.
• Foster strong, collaborative relationships across project stakeholders, acting as a trusted liaison between teams.
• Continuously improve team skills and project delivery practices through lessons-learned reviews.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of project management experience, specifically within the banking industry.
• Familiarity with regulatory-driven projects is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data reporting and analysis is required; experience with other MS Office tools is a plus.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree required; continuing education in Project Management a plus
