Director of Marketing REVOLT, the unapologetically Hip-Hop content platform dedicated to the creators of this generation, is seeking a talented, driven, and culturally minded Director of Marketing who is passionate about content, marketing assets, social media, promotional campaigns and driving marketing initiatives that will take the brand to new heights. We are looking for a strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial marketing leader. Reporting to the Chief Product & Technology Officer, candidate will help lead various executions of marketing programs to drive overall growth and brand awareness. The role calls for an individual with leadership experience, social media strategy, email and text campaign knowledge, paid media savvy, and broad creative thinking. Obsession with Hip Hop and the culture is key. What We’re Looking For This person will take on a variety of responsibilities and play a crucial role in a fast-paced, high-growth team and company. Specific duties include new program/show launches, promotional programs, channel development, competitive analysis, and campaign management. You Will

  • Drive strategy and long-term planning across a portfolio of programming and platforms
  • Lead new show and campaign launches from conception through execution in both new and existing categories
  • Develop and drive comprehensive omni-channel marketing plans (site, app, social, e-comm, YT, etc.), including innovative campaign concepts, media planning, upper and lower funnel strategies, etc.
  • Manage various marketing teams and provide coaching, development, and strategic direction
  • Have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and stay current of new social and digital tools, changes in competition, and anticipate market shifts
  • Understand audience behavior and drivers by conducting informal market research, monitoring feedback on social media, as well as on owned and competitive platforms
  • Prepare marketing activity reports, manage marketing budgets, and post-mortems
  • Further establish brand voice and consistency across all platforms and social media accounts
  • Maintain a marketing calendar of launches and campaigns across organic and paid verticals
  • Foster strategies and processes with the organic and paid Social Media teams to scale our social media following, engagement, and growth
  • Work closely with the Creative Services team to create marketing assets for internal, promotional, and client use
  • Build and maintain creator and influencer relationships to develop strategic marketing campaigns
  • Leverage data, market & consumer insights, and marketing tools to develop and execute impactful strategic recommendations
  • Partner with other websites with similar audiences for traffic bartering

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of marketing experience at a media company, agency, or brand with an emphasis on digital marketing strategy
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership capacity
  • Expertise in planning, prioritizing, and goal setting including the ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, and create detailed marketing plans
  • History of developing narratives to support a marketing campaign concept
  • Experience working with social, product, and creative teams to develop custom campaigns
  • 3+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience (Meta, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Taboola, Email, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of paid app install programs/campaigns to drive downloads
  • E-commerce ecosystem knowledge and corresponding marketing elements
  • Proficient in brand development and multi-channel marketing concepts
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead various teams and personalities
  • Ability to provide clear and concise direction and feedback to stakeholders
  • Capability to analyze market trends, anticipate opportunities, and develop strategic insights
  • Experience launching shows/products/podcasts, leading cross-functional teams, setting strategic category direction, and running digital marketing campaigns with strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills
  • Strong communication, creative thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising or related field
