Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of HR operations at Thomas Management Real Estate Group. The HR Manager will play a key role in shaping our organizational culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. They will be a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, supporting recruitment, talent development, performance management, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, and compliance.
  • Partner with senior management to align HR strategies with company objectives, ensuring that HR initiatives support organizational goals and growth.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, posting positions, reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Develop and implement onboarding programs that ensure smooth integration of new employees and foster positive relationships from day one.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring competitive and compliant offerings, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Support performance management by advising managers on goal setting, employee development, and providing tools for effective performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
  • Develop and execute training programs to support employee growth, including leadership development, compliance, and skills training.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and manage HR records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant data protection laws.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely employee compensation.
  • Oversee employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive company culture, improve retention, and increase overall job satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership regarding HR metrics, including turnover, recruitment efforts, and employee engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices, including experience managing compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Proven track record of successful recruiting, employee relations, and performance management in a professional setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficient in HR software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in real estate or finance-related industries.
  • Knowledge of employee wellness programs and initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and executing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies.
