Director of Finance And Accounting

Exciting and fast-growing non-profit with a great mission is looking for an experienced finance professional to help guide the executive team through strategic decision-making through financial projections, cash flow forecasting, grant compliance, accounting, and other duties as assigned.

Position is remote-centric with preference for a candidate in the greater Sacramento, CA area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fiscal reporting for the firm and be liaison and guide to executive management as they steer the business
• Manage cash and investments, including establishing and maintaining relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
• Provide short and long-term cash flow forecasting for organization
• Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast; monitor and report on actual results against forecast and budget.
• Communicate clearly to exec management on results, where business is heading, etc.
• Engross self into the business and understand its needs in terms of cash flow, timing, etc
• Ensure grant compliance and proper accounting

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience with background in financial planning and/or accounting
• Cash flow forecasting experience is a must
• Strong communicator who is comfortable reporting to hands-on CEO and COO
• Background in non-profits is heavily preferred
• Strong understanding of grant compliance accounting
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance heavily preferred
