Wikiloc is a growing international technology company founded in 2006 in Girona, committed to strong values of responsibility and sustainability. Our platform allows users to share GPS trails from around the world, and we currently serve over 15 million users who have shared more than 50 million trails and 100 million photographs. The platform is available in 22 languages and has received awards and recognition from prominent organizations such as Apple, Google, Garmin, and National Geographic. We are a team of 36 people, currently in a growth phase.

We are currently structuring our internal Finance and Accounting division.

About the Role

Lead general accounting, cost accounting, and operations control needs to ensure compliance with relevant tax and legal laws and regulations.

Financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Analysis of financial data and key business metrics, identify trends, and present insights that guide operational and strategic choices.

You will be expected to collaborate with external advisors and coordinate work streams across different fields.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle.
  • Execute monthly and annual closings.
  • Oversee payment and collection processes.
  • Prepare and manage invoices.
  • Manage treasury operations.
  • Prepare, review, and present daily records in the SII.
  • Prepare annual accounts.
  • Coordination and interaction with external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Prepare financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash-flow statements, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and legal regulations, and maintain internal controls.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Conduct financial data analysis to identify trends and provide insights that inform operational and strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation and improve overall business performance.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles, with oversight in accounting, tax, controlling, compliance.
  • Experience in a Big4 firm and/or a tech company is highly desirable.
  • High level of English, Spanish and Catalan.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in data-driven environments.
  • Proven capability to work independently and confidently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of flexibility.
  • A collaborative team player, with the ability to work effectively across various departments (e.g., growth, marketing, operations and tech).
  • Proactive and resourceful, with a strong awareness of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Exhibits empathy, open-mindedness, and humility in all interactions.
  • Flexible for remote work, with an expectation to attend the company’s headquarters in Girona at least one day per week.
  • A passion for nature and the outdoors is a plus.

Pay range and compensation package

The salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience, ensuring a fair and competitive compensation package that aligns with their professional background.
