Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Our client, a leading private equity-backed SaaS company with approximately $500 million in annual revenue, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of FP&A to join their finance leadership team. This is a critical role that will be responsible for driving financial strategy, forecasting, and reporting processes while supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

As a Director of FP&A, you will oversee key financial planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning, and provide financial insights to business leaders to ensure alignment with long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a SaaS environment, with a deep understanding of shared services and cross-functional business partnering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead the financial planning and analysis function, driving financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes in alignment with the company's goals.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure the timely preparation of accurate, insightful financial reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
• Shared Service & Headcount Management: Develop, implement, and manage headcount planning processes and shared service financial models.
• Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted business partner to key departments (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations), providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.
• Process Improvement & Standardization: Lead process improvements and streamline financial reporting processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across departments.
• Data-Driven Insights: Provide actionable financial insights that guide operational improvements and inform strategic decision-making.
• PE Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for private equity investors, ensuring alignment on financial strategy, performance tracking, and growth initiatives.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and accountability.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience in SaaS: Proven experience as a senior finance leader in a fast-growing, private equity-backed SaaS environment, with a strong understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and business models.
• Financial Planning Expertise: Deep expertise in FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and financial modeling. Ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Shared Service & Headcount Management: Experience in managing shared services and designing headcount planning processes to drive operational efficiency.
• Business Partnering: Strong ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, partnering with key business units to drive performance and achieve financial goals.
• Process and Systems Focus: A track record of implementing financial processes that improve efficiency and enhance decision-making.
