Job Description:Human Resources Business PartnerJonas Software – Vertus Portfolio International Businesses. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a trusted advisor for the designated business groups across all aspects of HR including employee relations, recruitment and staffing, compensation, talent review, organization design, resource planning, learning and career development. The business partner leads the people management related agenda in the organization. The partner leads the change management projects and manages the HR related internal and external communication. The partner actively supports discussions and transfers best practices from different functions in the organization. Currently the role will cover two businesses which are based in Europe. The first is Bookassist (https://www.bookassist.org) with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland and employees in Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic and Denmark. The second business is Ariane Systems (https://www.ariane.com) with headquarters in Paris, France and employees in France, Germany, England and Norway. We are focused on candidates located in Ireland on a remote basis initially but there may be a requirement for hybrid working in the future. POSITION:

  • Reporting to the Director of HR, you will be working closely with the Group Leader and Management in each business to provide guidance and advise and share best practices
  • You will provide a comprehensive and professional HR service to internal clients covering a multi-site operation
  • You will be the escalation point, supporting on varied employee relations issues and providing sound advice on a range of cases from disciplinary to appeal cases, performance to grievances in line with current employment law
  • With demonstrable experience of business partnering, you will be a strong HR professional, as this role is pivotal in ensuring legislation is adhered to and the delivery of high quality and timely Human Resources processes, procedures and best practice are in alignment with the company strategy and objectives
  • It is essential that you understand the pace required and can adapt to a changing environment quickly and positively
  • The role may require travel and a requirement for some overnight stays

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as a single point of the contact for the employees and managers in the business units
  • Proactively supports the delivery of HR processes, policies and procedures
  • Manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally
  • Builds a strong business relationship with the internal clients (Managers)
  • Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes necessary to mitigate risk
  • Recruits personally the key talents for the internal clients
  • Facilitates the management teams to bring best solutions for employees
  • Acts as the performance improvement driver and introduces positive changes in the people management
  • Designs succession plans for key talents and key job positions
  • Challenges the organizational structure of the internal client and proposes changes
  • Engage in Employee Relations to advise/guide leaders on difficult/complex matters (harassment, fraud, discrimination, termination etc.)
  • Comply with all necessary legislative practices in each jurisdiction
  • Adhere to policy and procedure documentation controls

JOB QUALFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Employee Relations and Talent Management within the Human Resources Discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Working experience within the Software Industry preferred
  • Must be a team player with strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work independently with demonstrated time management & organizational skills and organizational agility to uphold process and drive through results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer focus with a propensity for prioritizing and making timely decisions
  • Interpersonal savvy with a knack for understanding others
  • Project Management and Change Management skills considered an asset
  • Possess a solid understanding of Employment Law in Europe
  • Ability to travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach, influence and challenge decisions at all levels
  • Fluency in English is essential. Additional languages, such as Spanish or French would be desirable.

Additional useful skills:

  • Experience of Workday, while not essential, is advantageous.
