Job Title: Head of People and CultureLocation: Home Based (with UK Travel)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic leader to join a dynamic organisation as Head of People and Culture. This pivotal role will lead the HR, Recruitment, and Training services, including employee relations, engagement, talent acquisition, and reward. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a people strategy that aligns with the organisation's goals and supports business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to develop and implement the people strategy.
- Oversee the delivery of HR services, including payroll, recruitment, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Lead the development and implementation of policies, systems, and processes to attract, retain, and develop a talented workforce.
- Foster a high-performance culture through employee engagement, development, and performance management.
- Manage the payroll and pensions service, ensuring compliance with NHS standards and HMRC obligations.
- Implement and oversee training and development plans to meet quality and safety compliance needs.
- Drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery through transformative projects and enhanced efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support successful outcomes.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent business/people management experience.
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll, NHS pensions, recruitment, and workforce planning.
- Commercial acumen with experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and capacity planning.
- Demonstrable experience in change management and driving organisational transformation.
- Collaborative and empowering leadership style, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
- Experience in working with senior leadership to develop and deliver strategic initiatives.
- Familiarity with iTrent, Tribepad, Tableau, or other HR systems.
- Knowledge of employment law and experience in acquisitions/TUPE.
