Your Role

  • Oversee daily HR operations, directly manage HR team members, and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, company policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and assist in internal audits of documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and manage recruiting strategies, including creating and updating job descriptions, overseeing job board postings, screening candidates, and facilitating the hiring process.
  • Manage the interviewing process, make hiring recommendations, and implement the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on a range of HR KPIs, providing leadership with data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation programs while managing PTO, sick leave, FMLA, and leave of absence requests.
  • Advise on compliance matters related to employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices while counseling management and staff on policies and procedures to foster a positive, inclusive, and legally compliant work environment.
  • Provide recommendations, oversee, and implement employee disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, terminations, and offboarding, ensuring all processes are handled fairly, consistently.
  • Recommend updates to the employee handbook and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and oversee employee training and development programs while identifying training needs, developing materials, and evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Oversee and manage HR projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely execution and alignment with company objectives.
  • Advise on, implement, and optimize HR technology solutions, including Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), payroll platforms, and applicant tracking systems (ATS), to improve efficiency and streamline HR operations.
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning and talent management while overseeing employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and workplace culture improvements to attract, retain, and develop top talent while enhancing morale and retention.
  • Conduct comprehensive personnel relations investigations, document findings, and ensure fair and legally sound resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Manager, preferably in healthcare, outpatient behavioral health, counseling, or psychiatry.
  • At least 2 years of experience using and managing HRIS and ATS platforms.
  • At least 1 year of experience in developing and implementing HR recruiting systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR policies and procedures, including U.S. federal, Arizona, and Texas labor laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) with strong computing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with HR operations, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with leadership to provide proactive recommendations for business challenges, projects, and initiatives.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead teams and independently develop and implement solutions.
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is preferred.
  • Excellent ability to communicate with a variety of others in a manner that is direct, clear, courteous, and tactful in person, by phone, and by email.
