Human Resources Director (Remote) – Aline Accounting Partners

Salary: $100K-$125K base salary

Type: Full-time

Location: Remote, US (Minimal Travel)

About the Role

The HR Director will oversee core HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and organizational development. This role requires a proactive leader who can work closely with the leadership team to support growth and navigate the unique challenges of a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the firm’s goals and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to support high-growth efforts, including organizational scaling and acquisitions.
  • Lead workforce planning and succession planning to meet evolving talent needs.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Administer and evaluate employee benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
  • Oversee compensation benchmarking to support the firm’s growth and retention goals.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and handbooks in line with evolving business needs.

HR Operations:

  • Manage payroll coordination, HRIS updates, and other operational HR tasks.
  • Support onboarding processes to ensure new hires are set up for success.
  • Track and analyze HR metrics to drive informed decision-making.

Organizational Development:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop training, career development, and leadership programs.
  • Create initiatives to support employees during transitions, such as acquisitions or role expansions.

What We’re Looking ForExperience:

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience in a CPA firm, law firm, or professional services environment is required.
  • Proven track record of success in high-growth environments, including growth through acquisitions.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing both strategic and operational HR tasks.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
  • A collaborative, problem-solving approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
